Taeheum Yeon is Seoul (South Korea) / Chicago (U.S) based
Stage director. He is currently artistic director and producer of a creative group “The Satellite Projects”.

His directing credit includes the musical ‘Bernarda Alba(2021)’ at Jeong-dong national theater, 'Try to Remember’ by The Satellite Projects, 'Twelfth moon' at World Theatre Education Convention / Asian Theater Schools Festival, ‘Bernarda Alba(2017)’ at Space1959, the musical ‘Justice’ at Art-one theater. He also co-directed ‘Ya Jin Yeon’ (The fest of the night – The National Korean Music Center's 70th anniversary performance) at Yea-ack dang, the National Korean Music Center.

He served as an assistant director to prominent artists including Gina Lee on ‘In the Heights’, Jaram Lee on ‘The red riding hood’ and ‘The old man and sea’, Jeehye Lee on ‘Pablo Neruda’s -the poetry’, Gustavo Jajak on ‘Bernada Alba(2018)’, Jinchek Sohn on ‘The song of Simchung', Arthur Nauzyciel on ‘Love’s Ends’.

He is the grand winner of the 2016 Hyundai-Star Festival and the recipient of Chung-Ang University Alumni Association (Joong-Woo) Scholarship and Jae-Hyun Scholarship from the Chung-Ang University Theater Department.

​He holds a one-year certified program in classical voice from Dalhousie University (Canada) and earned a Bachelor of Art in Theater (concentrating in Musical theater) from Chung-Ang University (South Korea). He is an MFA Directing candidate at Northwestern University in the United States.
